Aparna Chakravarti is a 3 years Hospitality Graduate from Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition from IHMCTAN, Taratalla, Kolkata, passed out in the year 1986.
She has over 28 years of experience in the field of Hospitality and Food and Beverage.
She started working with Taj Group of Hotels as a Chef and has worked in Taj Palace and Taj Mansingh in Delhi and Taj Bengal in Kolkata. During these exposures, she was exposed to various Cuisines, which enhances her skills as a professional Chef.
After leaving the Taj Group of Hotels, she started working with the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (formerly The Spastic Society of Eastern India) and created the Catering Division there. She was also a lecturer at IHMCTAN, Kolkata, honing skills and imparting knowledge in the Bakery and Confectionery Division.
She has also been and Examiner for the Food Production, Bakery & Confectionery and Housekeeping for the short and 3 years degree/diploma courses at the same Institute.
Currently, she runs a small commissary at Joka, Kolkata, India which supports under privileged people. The food is sold at her outlet in Joka, called Salt & Sugar. She is also a Consultant with Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy and spearheaded projects funded by MNCs.
She also Caters to many discerning Guests in Kolkata and has earned a very good reputations amongst the food lovers of Kolkata.
